Expansion Support...

The ability to participate in events that support Phi Sigma Pi does not stop upon graduation... it just takes on new dimensions. There are several terrific ways to stay involved with Phi Sigma Pi and to help spread and strengthen the experience you valued as an undergraduate to others. Actions that you take to help Phi Sigma Pi expand and start new Collegiate Chapters may also provide you with deep sense of personal satisfaction for giving undergraduates an opportunity that would not have existed without your leadership and dedication.

Many alumni take jobs as administration, faculty or staff members at universities where Phi Sigma Pi does not have a chapter.

  • These alumni can serve vital roles in helping Phi Sigma Pi identify and influence the proper university contacts to support the creation of a chapter on their campus.

  • These same alumni can also serve in the valuable role of Faculty Advisor to the new chapter. Serving as a Faculty Advisor is a wonderful way to assist the chapter with their requests, to counsel them, to help them work within university processes and to share with them what you have learned as a Brother.

  • In both cases, alumni are in great positions to help the Fraternity and to ensure that it survives and prospers nationally. Moreover, they are both great ways to give back to the organization.

Alumni who have friends, relatives or colleagues working at universities where Phi Sigma Pi does not have a chapter are in a unique position to help the Fraternity.

  • You are in a fantastic position to help Phi Sigma Pi start a chapter at a new school by providing the fraternity with these vital leads.

  • Not only is this a great way to help your Fraternity and to ensure that it survives and prospers nationally, but it is the ideal way to spread the experience you valued to others. It's a wonderful way to give back.

Alumni living close to universities where Phi Sigma Pi intends to start a new chapter also can serve a valuable role.

  • During and after the chapter start-up process, local alumni are wonderful resources to serve as Alumni Advisors.

  • Alumni Advisors attend select chapter meetings and events, demonstrate support and share their knowledge and experience with the chapter. The time commitment does not need to be excessive to have a positive impact... even a few hours can make a difference!

  • Take pride in the fact undergraduates will look up to you and see you as a role model, a source of knowledge and one who truly cares about both them and the Fraternity.
