A Regional Realignment has been implemented to give regions the ability to perform to their best potential and emphasize the importance of regions to the overall strength of Phi Sigma Pi’s infrastructure.
With the Fraternity’s recent interest in: 1) cultivating the strength of the regions and their conferences and 2) strengthening bonds with alumni Chapters and Associations, it makes sense to ensure that regions are manageable in size to better enhance productive regional alliances.
Prior to this realignment, region sizes varied from between 6 to 15 collegiate Chapters each. This was a wide range and for the larger regions, posed issues for collaborative work. Through the realignment and the addition of 6 new regions, there are between 5 and 8 collegiate Chapters in each region.
The realignment embraced the idea that the regions can remain in place for at least two years, taking into account how future collegiate expansion prospects (projected at between 6 and 8 new Chapters per year) and current and future alumni Chapters and Associations will fit into the new structure.
Overall, the regional realignment creates a long-term vision for Phi Sigma Pi’s regional structure that
cultivates regional development. Find out if you're in a new region! Take a look at the
