Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity is currently seeking a Director of Development and Alumni Relations.
Title: Director of Development and Alumni Relations
Reports to: Executive Director
Job Qualifications: Four year college degree. A minimum of three years experience in fundraising, donor relations, stewardship or alumni relations preferred. Strong writing and communication skills. The ability to travel to attend fraternity related events and personal solicitation.
Description:
1. Assists with communication strategy to Alumni and Donors
Such as:
(a) Assist with writing, copy editing and proofreading. To include but not limited to;
1. Lampadion / Purple & Gold Magazine
2. NAA / Foundation membership, gift solicitation and stewardship materials.
(b) Assist with the content ideas for electronic publications. To include but not limited to;
1. Monthly e-newsletters (Alumni and Foundation)
2. NAA / Foundation membership, gift solicitation and stewardship materials.
(c) Demonstrate the ability to effectively communication to an alumni audience, to craft a compelling case for support and effective solicitation and stewardship communications.
2. Cultivates Alumni Relations
Such as:
(a) Build relationships and transparency for Alumni members
(b) Promote the National Alumni Association and its affiliate organizations (local alumni chapters/associations and Professional Network).
(c) Secure commitments from Alumni to provide professional expertise and volunteer service; collaborating with colleagues (including, but not limited to administrators, students, and Alumni) to create and maintain pathways for Alumni participation that advance the goals of the organization.
(d) Promote a strong connection between undergraduate chapters and Alumni members.
(e) Assist with event planning and promotion as well as attend events such as; alumni convention, national convention and the Foundation annual membership meetings.
3. Lead fundraising initiatives
Such as:
(a) Coordinate the fundraising efforts of the Phi Sigma Pi Foundation.
(b) Identify, cultivate and solicit sources of funding from public or private funding sources.
(c) Organize and execute fundraising events.
(d) Manage a comprehensive annual giving campaign including email, mail, phone and personal visit solicitations.
(e) Effectively communicate the need for philanthropic support of the Fraternity.
(f) Manage a comprehensive stewardship program.
(g) Coordinate the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship efforts of the Foundation Board.
4. Assist Executive Director and Foundation Board Members as needed.
