Empowering Future Leaders with Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY)
Since 2015, Phi Sigma Pi has proudly supported Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY) as our National Philanthropy. HOBY is dedicated to empowering high school students to become effective and ethical leaders through immersive seminars and service experiences.
Members can get involved in several meaningful ways. Volunteering at local HOBY seminars allows you to directly mentor and guide students. You can also serve as a facilitator or alumni volunteer, helping shape transformative leadership experiences. Promoting HOBY within your community and fundraising for its programs extends your impact even further.
By supporting HOBY, Members invest in the next generation of leaders and carry the values of Phi Sigma Pi beyond the collegiate experience.
Turning Play into Purpose with Extra Life
Extra Life brings together gamers of all kinds to raise funds for local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Through gaming marathons and livestream events, participants turn their passion for play into life-changing support for children and families in need.
Getting involved is both fun and impactful. Members can register individually or as teams, host chapter gaming events, or organize campus tournaments to maximize fundraising efforts. Livestreaming and encouraging donations from friends and family can help expand your reach.

Saving Lives with Gift of Life
Gift of Life Marrow Registry works to cure blood cancer and other blood disorders by facilitating bone marrow and stem cell transplants. Through Phi Sigma Pi’s partnership, Members have already helped facilitate over 100 donor matches, each representing a potential second chance at life.
Members can host on-campus donor recruitment drives to help grow the registry and raise awareness. It’s as simple as swabbing the inside of your cheek and returning the kits to Gift of Life to be added to the registry. You can also register as a potential donor yourself. Every action helps increase the likelihood that patients find a life-saving match, making this partnership one of the most direct ways to create a meaningful impact.

Bridging Educational Gaps with Learn To Be
Learn To Be provides free, one-on-one online tutoring to underserved students nationwide, helping close opportunity gaps and build academic confidence.
This partnership offers a flexible way to serve. Members can volunteer as virtual tutors from anywhere, making it easier to balance service with busy schedules. Chapters can also organize tutoring sessions or promote the program to increase participation.
