Leadership Development Coordinator

Serve as a recruitment, leadership and Chapter operations resource for Members in Restructure, Chartered and Associate Chapters. Focus on developing and implementing strategies that promote leadership skills, optimize chapter operations, and increase overall membership involvement and satisfaction

Reports to: Director of Member Engagement

Status: Regular, full-time, exempt

Job Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required, at least one year of professional experience in the higher education or programming preferred, strong ambition with the ability to take initiative, be creative and work independently, ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple projects in an environment of change, ability to function within a team-oriented philosophy, strong analytical, organizational and strategic thinking skills, ability to network, communicate and build strong and genuine relationships, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability and willingness to travel periodically, and lead evening/weekend programming as necessary.

Evaluations: Annually unless otherwise outlined in the Human Resources Manual

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Chapter and Recruitment Management
    1. Implement strategic Fraternity growth plans through national initiatives to assist Chapter recruitment and retention.
    2. Provide Chapter coaching and guidance to drive effective Chapter and Associate Chapter recruitment, retention, leadership development and recognition within their respective campuses.
    3. Facilitate Chapter discussions to ensure each Chapter’s long-term sustainability, such as service events, financial management, risk management, etc.
    4. Promote membership benefits, the Phi Sigma Pi Foundation and leadership opportunities.
    5. Maintain regular communication with assigned Chapters.
  2. Programming
    1. Develop and lead interactive programming, webinars and training, for individuals, Officers, Chapters and to the full organization, such as National Convention.
    2. Responsible for maintaining, updating, and creating educational resources to support chapter operations.
  3. Member Engagement and Communication
    1. Create, implement, and regularly assess a comprehensive engagement plan for Members, Officers, and New Members, aiming to deliver consistent support and valuable resources.
    2. Write and distribute monthly communications to members to ensure the prompt delivery of important news, updates, and opportunities.
    3. Maintain the fraternity's mobile app daily, ensuring its operational effectiveness, relevance, and engagement with users.
  4. Travel
    1. Occasionally travel throughout the U.S. to facilitate programming or assist with Chapter operations.
